Drumline starts out strong

Last year the Kickapoo winter drumlilne ended the season undefeated and state champions.  They had a score of 90.75 which is the highest score in the Mid Continent Color Guard Association. This year they are starting out just as strong. They have been practicing and constantly improving since December. On Febuary 13th the drumline went to their first competition at Nixa High School. Competition was set up as a one performance one score system. Kickapoo came in first place with a score of 78.65. Blue Springs South was the host of their next competition. In this competition there was a preliminary round and a finals round. Kickapoo got a score of 79.6 which was high enough to move them up to the finals round. They came away with another win with a season high score of 80.4. On Febuary 27th they will be performing in their next competition at Ozark High School. Their performance time will be at 12:14 p.m. Kickapoo will end their season by going to the WGI World Championships in Dayton, Ohio.
