Cheerleading Deserves Their Own Cheers After 5th Place State Finish

By Seth Seely

Facing 24 teams from all around Missouri, the cheerleading squad had no fear in their eyes as they took the mat for their final routine.

“We worked hard throughout October and September, going to three practices a week to prepare for state,” said coach Castleman.

“We worked really hard and really came together as a team for the state competition,” said senior Samantha Jenkins.

“The team should be even stronger next year with only 3 seniors,” said Castleman. Congratulations to all the girls on a great season.
